If you're installing a car stereo, you need to use these for the wiring… period. Absolutely no crimping of connectors. Simply strip the wires, join them together, put the "bottom" of these connectors on the wires, then screw in the top. And, if you make a mistake on the wires, you simply unscrew these things, undo the wires, correct your wiring, and reuse the connectors. These are little gems, very simple, yet incredibly effective.

I read a few reviews and decided to give these a try. I will never install another car stereo with anything with these if there are stripped wires involved. They work great and are even reusable.

What I like:
1. Easy to use. Just insert your wires and twist.
2. Reusable. This is a big one when you consider the alternatives
3. Price. Not expensive in the least
4. Firm grip, wires don't come loose like with crimp connectors
5. Made the install go that much more quickly.

I installed my first car stereo recently, and initially watched the Crutchfield video for instructions. They mentioned the positwists and used them in the video. Initially, I didn't think anything of it and just taped the wires together. It was a hassle though, and though it worked, I wasn't pleased with it, and I worried about the tape coming off or wires coming loose, so I took another look at these connectors. I'm a person the appreciates ease and simplicity, things that just work, and make my life easier. Considering how often I'd actually use these since I don't go changing my radio out every day, I still appreciated these connectors. They held tightly, were easy to use, and can be reused without damaging existing wires. Very much worth the money I paid for them and I would recommend them to anyone.

These make wiring up a car stereo harness simple. I've installed to head units using these, instead of soldering or crimping, and have had zero issues. It's as simple as twisting wire together, so it's fast, but it can also easily be undone without the need to cut a solder joint or wire crimp, thus preserving the original wire length. They doo take up more space than a thin butt connector or a solder joint so keep that in mind when installing a stereo in a tight space.

They're easier to install than crimp connectors and I think they will be more consistently reliable, less chance of a poorly done twist than a poorly done crimp. I used them to install an Android radio in my RAV4 with about 20 connections.

These things are great. They are easy to use and are able to bind the wires nice and tight. Twist onto the wires before installing and mounting my head unit. Made it a breeze.

These are the only connectors I use to install car stereos. They save the hassle of crimping buttsplices and are faster in my experience. They make swapping simple as you don't need to have a new wiring harness or cut buttsplices out. They are very secure when used right. I love these things.

I have used lots of different techniques for wiring car stereos: bullet plugs, wirenuts, etc. and each one has its own issues. I recently replaced an old stereo and was looking for a better option that would keep the wires tight, but would not require soldering and shrinkwrapping. These Posi-Twist Wire Connectors are exactly what I was looking for, just twist your wires together and put into the bottom part with a little wire sticking out the top and twist the cap down tight and you are good to go. They are nice and compact and hold the wires tight. I think these are great!
